Meet The Owners
Greg & Sandy
Greg and Sandy took ownership of the salon in 2003. Sandy had been a stylist and employee of Sam and Bill; Greg came from a corporate field and was licensed in cosmetology shortly thereafter. Both enjoy working with staff, clients, and the excitement of the beauty industry.
Sammy Giddens, Founder
Sammy retired in 2007 to his farm in Sampson County where he and his wife, Nida, enjoy raising and training dogs for field competitions. He stops by the salon occasionally to check on us and to enjoy a good meal in town.
Billy Turner, Founder
Billy retired in 2003 to a golf community in Myrtle Beach SC. He has remained friends with many of his clients and has since returned to Raleigh to be closer to family.
We've been turning heads in the Triangle for 50 years.
Sam and Bills Hair Design is a thriving business in the heart of NCSU, Cameron Village and downtown Raleigh area.
Greg Brown appointed President of Hillsborough st. Community Service Corp.

Sam and Bills 50 Year anniversary
Phase 1 Hillsborough st. renovations complete
Sammy retires to his farm in Newton Grove to work with his dogs and horses.
Billy retires and moves to Myrtle Beach to work on his golf game. Sandy and Greg take ownership and change the name to Sam and Bills Hair Design Inc.
Sammy and Billy hire their first female cosmetologist – Mai Mclean.
Sammy and Billy secured the house at 109 Oberlin Rd. and begin renovations to accommodate 9 workstations and Lobby area for a new hair salon
Sam Giddens and Billy Turner formed a partnership named Sam and Bills Place. The original shop sat at 1902 Hillsborough St. with 4 chairs and 4 Barbers.
